According to our idea of respect for the environment, we elaborate a variety of oil and olives from ORGANIC GROWTH.

Both the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, from first pressing, and the Natural Table Olives come from olive trees that have been neither treated with fertilizers nor insecticide of synthesis. All of these being endorsed by Rules and Controls of the OKO GARANTIE BCS of Ecological Agricultural Production.

Company Background:
OLIFLIX is a small mill of olive oil that has been recuperated after years of inactivity. As with the mill, we have also recuperated the traditional elaboration systems of olive oil, so that we can enjoy an extra virgin olive oil elaborated with all our craftsmanship.

Olives are hand picked from the olive tree and directly transported in boxes so that they do not suffer any damage. Olives are cleaned of remains of dirt.

Immediately after olives are weighed, they are taken to the storage silos and afterwards they are ground by granite stones.

Production Methods:
In the interior of the Oliflix house we find the heart of our craftsmanship, the Granite Mill, the basic principle in our elaboration of the extra virgin olive oil cold-pressed for maximum quality.

When olives have been ground by the granite stones, they are emptied into a receptical for the olive bulk. The process is completely done in cold.

The olive bulk is distribuited over the “capachos” (special esparto containers) in order to give a uniform pressing. We put one “capacho” over the other with the olive bulk and when they get the maximum height it is time to put them into the hydraulic press.

The Oily Must that comes from the press goes to these deposit wells. This liquid is made up of vegetable water from the olive itself (alpechin) and oil. They are separated due to the difference in density: Oil 0,916 / Alpechin 1,052

The result is that the oil floats because it is lighter and water stays at the bottom.

If there were “Oscars” in the world of food they would be given by “GUIDE OF FINE FOOD RETAILERS” . This establishment has had the pleasure of awarding “Oli Flix” the silver medal in reward for manufacturing the very best quality oil.

The quality is based on its olives and on its manufacturing process to bring out the olive oil’s best qualities. Production of extra virgin olive oil is from the first pressing in cold, using traditional methods, so “Oli Flix” is a company unique and special on an European scale and it deserves the award.
