100 gram bag
This particular extract is taken from the seeds of the vitis vinifera, L (a type of grape plant usually used to make wine). Polyphenols are particularly strong antioxidants and can be found in high concentrations within the seed of this plant. Grape seed also contains procyanidolic oligomers.
While vitamins C and E are thought to be great sources of antioxidants, the antioxidants present in these nutrients are usually excreted from the body not long after consumption. However, the antioxidants provided by grape seed extract can stay in the body up to three days.
Serving Size & Timing
Grape Seed Extract should be taken in servings of 250 mg two times per day, depending on intended effect. This is equal to about 1/16 tsp. No more than 500 mg per day should be taken unless specifically told to do so by a medical professional. Grape Seed Extract should be taken every other day to maintain balanced levels of this chemical in the body.

TIPS
Grape Seed Extract will blend surprisingly well when mixed with water or juice. It can even be taken with or on food. Servings larger than 100mg of the supplement will probably be a bit too bitter for most to tolerate. Those with sensitive stomachs or taste buds may want to consider having gel caps filled with this extract in order for accurate consumption.
